Say Atlas, and every MechWarrior thinks of the various faces they've seen Since then, the Atlas has remained iconic of all the majesty and menace a BattleMech can inspire. It was General DeChivilier's Atlas that struck down the palace gates where Amaris the Usurper sequestered himself on Earth. Its heavy Foundation Type 10X frame carries a devastating array of heavy ballistic and missile weaponry in every configuration and mounts nearly twenty tons of armor plate. Conceived by General Aleksandr Kerensky before the Amaris civil war, the Atlas still remains the king of the battlefield. The weight of the Atlas is unspecified in-game, but BattleTech canon indicates the Atlas II- a mech of similar appearance, size and armament- as weighing 100 tons, typical of an Assault-class BattleMech. The Atlas is a 100-ton assault BattleMech.According to the MechStat screen in the first MechAssault this is the 'Mech that carries the most armor in the entire game.Weapons: Pulse Laser 4x, Autocannon 4x, Javelin Missile 2x.Mech speed (On a scale from 1-10): 5 (Speed: 19 MPH).Mech Defense (On a scale from 1-10): 10 (Armor: 6000).Defensive/Special Abilities: Alpha Strike.Defensive Weapon: AMS (Anti Missile System).Weapons: Pulse Laser 4x, Autocannon 4x, Javelin Missile 2x.Mech Defense (On a scale from 1-10): 10.In MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf the Atlas does not have any defense of any kind other than its extremely heavy armor. In MechAssault 1 the Atlas comes equipped with the AMS, Anti-Missile System.

The only ways to get a complete Atlas II before the Clans arrive without extreme luck is to complete the campaign or the Raid flashpoint while letting the obvious final boss flee, the latter of which will. This extra plating comes at the cost of mobility the Atlas can be outrun by any other 'Mech in the game, at traveling only 19 MPH. Includes exclusive Art Book, Digital Soundtrack, Paradox Forum Icon & Avatar and 4K Wallpapers. The Atlas is outfitted with the strongest armor in both games, and actually features heavier armor plating than the Ragnarök and Ymir 'Mechs. In MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, the Atlas carries the Alpha Strike super-weapon which is only activated when all three of the weapons on the Atlas are at maximum upgrade. The Atlas is built to inflict massive damage at closer ranges and must be that close in order to take down other Mechs. It however lacks at the long range, only bearing dual Javelin missile launchers. Carrying four non-alternating Pulse Lasers, and quadruple Auto-Cannons, at close to medium ranges the Atlas is nearly unstoppable. The Atlas is one of the most well armed 'Mechs in the game. In the hands of a skilled 'Mech operator, the Atlas is an offensive force rarely matched, and nearly impossible to stop.

The Atlas can stand toe-to-toe with 'Mechs of any class one Atlas is worth a dozen lesser 'Mechs and could win a battle against that many (unless you're dealing with a bunch of heavy 'Mechs). Weighing in at 100 tons, this powerful assault class BattleMech dominates any battlefield it appears on. And with good reason the Atlas is one of the most terrifying sights in the entire game. It's said that the sight of an Atlas can make even the most experienced MechWarriors break out in tears (or shivers).
